NAC: Do you personally feel that Nia gets discriminated because of her race?

dancemomsconfessionss:

I don’t think that she gets discriminated in a bad way. It honestly can bring her even more opportunities in the dance world and Abby is taking advantage of that. So no, I don’t personally feel that she gets discriminated in a BAD way.

my mom told me that in high school she used to get boyfriends at the beginning of February so they had enough time to get her a valentines day gift and then break up with them the day after and just keep the gift and one day she told her parents about it and they made her keep her boyfriend at least until the end of February and so she did and that boy is now my dad

Where do you find practice places while you live in a dorm? I'm about to dance while staying at res but I don't know where I can practice on campus

Girl when I get to a dorm I will make sure to let you know but I don’t start college for another month so I don’t think I’d be much help on this subject :/

Most universities have fitness studios that you can drop in to dance in when they aren’t being used for classes. Also, almost ever school has a gymnasium with open time! Beyond that, squash courts, the performing arts centre, or even the res common room if you’re brave! Hope that helps anon! :)

Also, people will give you a hard time about using hardshoes because they don’t want to scuff the floors. I bought shower pan liner from home depot and its been a lifesaver. $35 for a 4x10 strip of it and I used it all through freshman and sophomore year. It’s not slippery and I didn’t even have to tape it to whatever floor I was dancing on. It’s basically just a really cheap dance floor and I honestly don’t know what I would’ve done without access to it.
